En Plaza María Cristina, en el nº 6, encontramos un amplio espacio de esparcimiento, con parque infantil, terraza gastronómica y jovial ambiente. Una empresa familiar, desde la madre hasta sus tres hijos, han logrado desde hace ya una larga temporada crear un ambiente único y excepcional, en un espacio privado y público donde se dan cita gentes de todas las edades y círculos sociales de Daimiel.

La Tapería Sal y Pimienta, cuyos propietarios proceden profesionalmente del sector hostelero, han logrado en apenas año y medio generar en el local de su negocio, un ambiente propio para la convivencia social y el entretenimiento al aire libre en las proximidades del Parque Infantil Pocoyó. Es normal encontrar en días soleados o de clima benigno, su amplia terraza frecuentada por un público variado y muy diverso de toda la estructura social de nuestra ciudad.
En la zona interior o bien en la exterior, se celebran acontecimientos de todo tipo. Cumpleaños, comuniones, bodas, bautizos, reuniones familiares…, todo evento que acontezca es atendido con un buen servicio y apropiado ambiente. Tres o cuatro empleados en cocina más cuatro o cinco camareros en temporada, facilitan sensaciones que hacen sentir al cliente el grado de satisfacción y bienestar por los servicios contratados. La simpatía, el agrado, el buen gusto, están siempre presentes en Sal y Pimienta.

Los productos culinarios son conocidos y valorados por el público adicto a este local. El menú del día en fines de semana junto a especialidades de la casa -bienmesabe, hamburguesas en  tamaños XL, raciones de la misma cantidad, postres particulares…, todo ello elaborado de modo artesanal y casero, crean un clima de apego y fidelidad entre parroquianos y hosteleros, ambiente habitual en el entorno de Sal y Pimienta. Local con definida y particular decoración, atrae para el buen tapeo, variedad y renovada oferta de pinchos acompañada por diferentes cartas de vinos, y a gusto del consumidor, que sale del local ampliamente satisfecho y con recuerdo para volver en próxima ocasión.
En la terraza al aire libre, con el buen tiempo y en horas permitidas, también se celebran conciertos musicales, sobre todo con grupos de rock o flamenco-fusión. En definitiva, un lugar especial y único en Daimiel, apropiado para el disfrute y sana convivencia en nuestra población.
