Un nuevo toque de corneta, en sentido figurado, el que acaba de dar el daimieleño Rufino Ruiz al  ser proclamado finalista del VI Concurso de Sumilleres de Castilla La Mancha, celebrado en Toledo a primeros de Febrero 2019.

Y es que está claro. En nuestra región, La Mancha, además de mucho vino, mucho pan, mucho aceite y mucho tocino, surgen artistas como nuestro paisano Rufi, tradición y vanguardia en el sector hostelero, reflejado todo en “Ayala” y “Lepanto”, que sí son capitanes de los tercios, vinos, espumosos y combinados que se sirven en tan tradicionales centros gastronómicos de Daimiel, regentados por el buen gourmet y premiado sumiller Rufino Ruiz Loro. Tradición y vanguardia unidos por este afamado personaje, veterano en estas lides pero con mucho futuro por delante. Que los manchegos, dan mucho de sí, y cada vez con más frecuencia afloran los artistas, en diversos sectores, siendo un honor para los daimieleños contar con referentes de nuestra población en materia tan delicada como la gastronomía. Rufi con inspiración divina, Sagrario en su vida que apoya en su profesión.

Con más de 30 años de experiencia en este oficio, el de Daimiel, con amplia formación en la sumillería, lucha y pregona por la cada vez mejor calidad de los vinos de nuestra tierra y la buena labor de sus bodegas, resaltando entre otros caldos el espumoso, un brut, de la Cooperativa Los Pozos de Daimiel y el verdejo Vega de Azuer de la bodega daimieleña Los Candeales. Catorce sumilleres de Castila La Mancha participaron en este evento para profesionales celebrado en la Escuela de Hostelería de Toledo. La cata a ciegas fue una de las pruebas superadas por el sumiller de Daimiel.

Es por tanto de justicia, resaltar la labor de un profesional que desde muy joven tuvo sueños e ilusiones en este sector, y a fe que los va consiguiendo. Enhorabuena, Rufi… y esperamos aún más.
