La necesaria alimentación que el ser humano  precisa para la subsistencia, pasa por el consumo de productos de origen animal. Desde los albores de la historia observamos como el hombre cazaba para proveerse de víveres. A día de hoy, el cerdo constituye una fuente de alimentación básica para muchas civilizaciones. Y en España podemos asegurar que la industria alimentaria del cerdo y sus derivados, significa un porcentaje elevado de consumo en infinidad de familias. “Del cerdo me gustan hasta los andares”, refiere un popular dicho respecto al animal del que se aprovecha prácticamente todo para el consumo humano. Además, con garantía de calidad nutritiva, ya que los productos en general de este simpático animal aportan proteínas, vitaminas, grasas…etc.

Una industria tradicional daimieleña, dedicada a la alimentación basada en los productos del cerdo, es un ejemplo significativo  en este gremio. Los chorizos y salchichas, elaborados también con las mismas técnicas, gozan asimismo de la preferencia de los diversos públicos de distintas poblaciones donde EMBUTIDOS FRAMARCO ha expandido su nombre, logrando a su vez una buena fama. Esta empresa de carácter familiar, creada por Marcelino Martín-Consuegra Sánchez-Bermejo, daimieleño de pro como sus apellidos indican, pasó por etapas posteriores en manos de sus hijos Marcelino, Antonio, Josefa y Francisco, siendo a partir de los años noventa cuando comienza la expansión de FRAMARCO, marca reconocida en los mercados alimenticios. La elaboración continuada de productos frescos y embutidos tradicionales derivados del cerdo, está ahora en manos de la tercera generación familiar, con Antonio Martín-Consuegra Becerra al frente del negocio. Cuatro empleados garantizan la tradicional calidad, clave en la positiva evolución de sus productos, con la consiguiente fidelidad del mercado y clientes.

La permanente colaboración con instituciones de toda índole en Daimiel, muestran el talante solidario de FRAMARCO, quien en 2005 recibió el galardón a la “Empresa de tradición empresarial” concedido por la Asociación de Empresarios de Daimiel.
