El grupo músico vocal a cuatro voces, armónico y ajustado, con ritmo lento y solemne, ha sido desde tiempos antiguos exponente y transmisor de melodías de corte religioso. Desde la creencia al culto debido a Dios y el sentimiento musical, estas agrupaciones contribuyen, cada vez en mayor medida, a la exaltación religiosa desde la música sacra y evolucionando hasta la manifestación popular. Las corales representan en nuestros días la cercanía entre la mística y el sentimiento religioso de los pueblos.
Hace 24 años, Jesús Antonio García-Consuegra y Ana Victoria López, fundaron la Coral Municipal Molto Vivace, en Daimiel, siendo su primer presidente Jesús García-Consuegra. Desde entonces, Jesús Antonio continúa como director musical. Durante más de una década, Malena López Coira presidió la Molto Vivace, hasta que hace dos años tomó las riendas María Dolores González-Mohíno.
La Coral Municipal cuenta en la actualidad con cerca de 40 miembros, hombres y mujeres, con cuatro cuerdas, soprano, contraaltos, tenores y bajos procedentes de familias o ambientes musicales de Daimiel, amantes de este género tan sentido y especial. Ensaya lunes y miércoles de cada semana, al anochecer, con máximo esfuerzo por parte de sus componentes.

Han actuado en diversos lugares de España como Madrid, Zaragoza, Pamplona, Toledo, Alicante, Almagro, en el Corral de Comedias, La Solana, en el Festival de Zarzuela, Ciudad Real, Manzanares,  Bolaños, Quintanar de la Orden, también han viajado a Torrevieja en el Certamen Internacional de Habaneras, Gijón…; también a países extranjeros, realizando intercambios con grupos corales de otras naciones, coincidiendo en Bélgica en la ciudad de Namur, República Checa, Portugal e Italia.
Asimismo han representado musicales de hondo calado popular, como “El Hombre de la Mancha” , junto a la Banda Municipal de Música y la Escuela de Danza de Daimiel, y la “Rosa del Azafrán”. Actualmente están preparando el musical “La Celestina”. Es de destacar también la actuación conjunta con Ricardo Fernández del Moral, afamado guitarrista y flamencólogo daimieleño, figura internacional con quien interpretaron “La Saeta” de Serrat, haciendo estremecer la Iglesia de Santa María ante tan inolvidable actuación en aquella Semana Santa.
A su director, discreto y humilde, le gusta dirigir desde la modestia, actuando en alguna ocasión con papeles secundarios. Su humildad es equiparable al conocimiento musical que posee, siendo profesor de clarinete y piano impartiendo clases para diversos Coros en diferentes ciudades (Madrid, Ciudad Real, Puertollano…). A Jesús Antonio le gusta dirigir desde el permanente aprendizaje a través del estudio.
Actúan próximamente en Daimiel el Domingo de Ramos, 9 de Abril, a las 21 horas en la Iglesia de Santa María, con dedicatoria especial a María Desolada en clave de “avemarías” de distintos autores, siendo Juan S. Bach el autor más destacado en este concierto.
La actuación más destacada y próxima fuera de Daimiel, la tienen concertada en Bilbao, junto a la Coral Gaztelumendi, el 3 de junio.
