El pasado sábado se celebró en la Piscina Cubierta de Tomelloso la competición de natación que abría el año 2.020: el Campeonato Regional de Larga Distancia, que alcanzó una participación de sesenta y ocho nadadores que competían sobre la distancia de 3.000 metros en las categorías junior y absoluta y de 2.000 metros en infantil.
En la prueba de 3.000 metros libre masculina, categorías junior y absoluta, el primer puesto era para Alonso González Rodero, del C.N. Alarcos de Ciudad Real (32:30,81). Segundo clasificado Jaime Marqués Velasco, del C.N. Toledo (32:58,51) y tercer clasificado Alejando García de la Galana Gallego, del C.N. Daimiel (33:05,92).

Además en esta prueba se batió la mejor marca regional absoluta en dos ocasiones: en la segunda serie, por parte del nadador del C.N. Daimiel Alejandro García de la Galana Gallego (33:05,92)…

…siendo la misma mejorada unos minutos más tarde, en la tercera y última serie por parte de Alonso González Rodero (32:30,81).

En 3.000 metros libre femenino, el primer puesto fue para Isabel Cavanillas Rodríguez, del C.N. Alarcos de Ciudad Real (38:51,49), segundo puesto para Carmen García Arenas del C.N. La Roda (39,50,49) y tercer puesto para Laura Calahorra González, del C.N. Daimiel (40:10,56).

En la prueba 2.000 metros libre masculino, primer puesto para Alberto Martín Esteban, del C.N. Sonseca (22:55,31), segundo era Radu Valentín Beata Saghín del C.N. Ciudad Real (23:05,88) y tercero Jaime Ramírez Palomares del E.C. Ciudad de Talavera (23:09,10).

Y finalmente el podio femenino de 2.000 metros libre era ocupado, en primera posición por Marta Carmona Villaplana del C.N. Albacete (23:15,02), en segunda por Claudia Eslava García del C.N. Cuenca (24:28,00) y tercera era Daniela Valverde Martínez del C.N. La Roda (25:47,23).

Completaron el equipo daimieleño Ángela Baeza Ruiz de la Hermosa que acababa en una excelente octava posición con un tiempo de 41:13.92 y el entrenador Lorenzo Sobrino de Toro.
