El pasado miércoles, 22 de mayo, la localidad albaceteña de Higueruela, celebró una vez más su tradicional Trofeo Ciclista Santa Quiteria. Una prueba de carácter Elite y Sub-23, en donde el nivel competitivo de la esta prueba es bastante exigente debido al cartel de equipos que se suelen dar cita en la misma.

         Este trofeo, en su 42º edición que es la que se celebró el pasado miércoles, se disputaba a su vez, el Campeonato Castellano-Manchego Elite-Sub23, sobre un exigente recorrido 142 kilómetros.

         Un campeonato que tuvo excelentes noticias para el ciclismo daimieleño, ya que Javier Pérez Morales se proclamó brillante Campeón Regional de Ciclismo Elite. El daimileño que milita por cuarta temporada consecutiva en el conjunto valenciano del Gsport-Plataforma Iberum, obtuvo el valioso título y se enfundó el maillot que le acredita como Campeón Regional 2019, imponiéndose al albaceteño de Letúr,  Ivan Martínez Jiménez, del conjunto gallego del Supermercados Froiz, y a su compañero de equipo en el Gsport-Plataforma Iberum, Oscar Carrasco Fernández, también albaceteño de Casas de Juan Núñez, dos ciclistas de la zona y que se conocían a la perfección el perfil de la prueba.

         Buen momento de forma en el que se encuentra Javier Pérez, y que aparte de este exitoso triunfo, quedó demostrado el pasado domingo 19 de mayo en el 39º Trofeo de Primavera, celebrado en Fuenlabrada, en donde acabó rozando el podium, concluyendo en la cuarta posición final de la general.
