No siempre la mejor fotografía es aquella que manifiesta una técnica irreprochable. Aspectos como el enfoque, la temperatura de color, velocidad de obturación, foco, diafragma, son herramientas al servicio de una imagen, pero si la imagen no dice nada, no transmite ninguna emoción, no es la expresión de una forma de ver el mundo cualquiera que sea su dimensión. No deja de ser una postal sin más mensaje implícito. El arte, es manifestar, y si puede ser, transmitir una emoción, y aunque parezca irreverente un artista no trabaja para nadie salvo para sí mismo. No importa como materialice el terremoto que en el subsuelo se su sensibilidad se esté fraguando, el artista, sea músico, pintor, o cualquier otro, intentará darle forma en el soporte que sea, y cuando lo tenga delante hasta puede que lo identifique como suyo, lo mire por un instante, y se apreste raudo a una nueva erupción, a un nuevo retorcimiento de tripas, a una nueva pelea consigo mismo intentando ser honesto y reconocerse en la obra…el artista nunca está contento con lo que hace.
Cuentan que un día, Paco de Lucía; excelso guitarrista como bien saben, viajaba en un coche con unos amigos y en la radio escuchó un tema que le agradó particularmente. Le preguntó al dueño del coche quien era el guitarrista que lo estaba interpretando, y cuando le contestó ¡Coño Paco si eres tú! inmediatamente perdió el interés diciendo que qué “malamente” tocaba. Puede ser una muestra de vergüenza por el hecho de haberse desnudado delante de todo el mundo, y ser consciente de las imperfecciones que su desnudo ha mostrado…pero ¿a quien le importa después de escuchar Fuente y Caudal si la ejecución técnica de Paco fue impecable? La música se te ha metido en el corazón y ya no vuelve a salir.
Una fotografía, es la captura de un instante irrepetible en el tiempo. Algo que estaba fuera esperando que alguien lo captase. Una pintura, es la captación de algo que te está pasando dentro en un tiempo emocional que también es irrepetible y que el pintor pone fuera a la vista de todos.
Con Juan Francisco Gómez Cambronero, me pasa igual que con Paco de Lucía: si paso delante de una de sus obras, no tengo más remedio que quedarme mirando, me dice cosas. Es probable que a cada uno de nosotros nos diga algo diferente, y es probable que no veamos lo que el autor ve, pero nos dice.
La Lección de Anatomía de Rembrandt, contiene esos elementos técnicos que comentábamos al principio, pero que Dios me perdone, a mí, fuera de eso me deja indiferente. No estoy comparando a uno y a otro. Rembrandt hizo de una foto un cuadro, y Cambronero hace el camino inverso; captura un momento interior y de un cuadro hace una fotografía. Una fotografía pasada por el tamiz del alma por más inquieta que esta sea.
Dicen, que la música nace en el límite justo donde fracasan las palabras. Juan Fran, es un músico en potencia que plasma en los lienzos su pentagrama. Sus notas son colores, y sus obras, armonía musical, por eso los escucho cuando los miro.
