Sonó el himno nacional,  versión corta o larga, el pueblo aplaudió a sus sanitarios, escuchamos el himno de la Patrona de Daimiel y se coreó desde balcones y ventanas el Viva España de Escobar. Está siendo un acto repetido todas las tardes a las ocho en los distintos barrios de Daimiel . Brota de modo espontáneo determinada simbología que une, ser español se reivindica desde terrazas, experimentando todos sensaciones que producen bienestar, aunque sea de modo sencillo pero emotivo a la vez.

La mayor parte de quienes fuimos iniciados en esto de aprender en el colegio de las Pastoras, la escuela de San Isidro, el Seminario Diocesano, el Instituto Ruiz de la Hermosa – único existente por aquellos tiempos, con uniforme incluido-, la Universidad Laboral de Eibar y el Instituto de Estudios Sindicales, en Madrid, precursor de Ciencias Políticas, salimos bien imbuidos de españolidad, desde unos principio lógicos, elementales y sin segundas lecturas.  El sentimiento patrio no era el eje de nuestras vidas, pero se asimilaba con naturalidad el ser y sentirnos españoles, naturales de España.

Avanzamos en conocimientos de otro tipo, nos incorporamos al mundo laboral, nos compramos un Larousse y abrimos la mente a todas las tendencias liberales que la moderna sociedad nos transmitía, sin olvidar nunca el sentimiento de ser español , con simbología incluida, para lo que no hacía falta explicación alguna, iba implícito en nuestra evolución .

Aún a sabiendas de discrepancias, y reivindicaciones territoriales por parte de minorías en el grueso de la población españolas, la simbología nacional se respetaba y se la rendía atención no solo por parte de los militares. El símbolo de la bandera va más allá de un simple trapo, es un punto de magna referencia y unión, más aún en momentos duros como los actuales, vínculo que para muchos suaviza penas.

Se ha podido constatar y observar en Daimiel como han aflorado en balcones y terrazas las banderas rojigualdas, ondeando con crepón en luctuoso recuerdo a nuestros paisanos fallecidos en tiempo de pandemia.  Vínculo de conexión, lazo de duelo en un trozo de tela con colores definidos. Símbolo de España y transmisora de sentimientos y emociones comunes. En fechas de confinamiento, bien que lucen en Daimiel.
