NIVEL DEL ACUÍFERO 23 A 29 DE FEBRERO 2020.

De preocupante, puede definirse la situación/nivel del acuífero de nuestra comarca a fecha actual. Si a 29 de febrero ha dado un pequeño respiro, éste se está agotando como vamos a ver.

El último mes de febrero, ha subido 30 cm., encontrándose a 10,50 m. Esta profundidad, es casi un metro más bajo que el año pasado por la misma fecha (9,60 m), y 3 metros más bajo que hace cuatro años, por poner una fecha que sólo se repite cada cuatro años (29-02), cuando estaba a 7,50 m.  En este mes de febrero ha subido 30 cm, cuando lo normal en febrero es que suba 20 cm. ¿y cómo es posible que haya subido cuando prácticamente las lluvias han sido nulas o mínimas?

 Pues veamos: ha subido, porque el acuífero tiene una superficie de 5.500 Km2, es decir que es bastante grande o extenso para recoger las aguas pluviales y nieves caídas en meses precedentes. Pero la principal razón de la subida, está en que la presa de Peñarroya empezó a verter agua por arriba desde hace mes y medio; por abajo ya tenía abierto el “chorro” desde hace mucho más tiempo. Este agua que se recogía en el canal del Guadiana, llamado canal del Gran Prior, conducía sus aguas por el centro de Argamasilla de Alba (hoy ya desviado del centro), y se dirige hacia Alameda de Cervera, donde posteriormente deberían llegar a una enorme vega en la que se deberían juntar las aguas del Záncara, Amarguillo y Gigüela. Esto que es así casi teórico, en la realidad no ha ocurrido, porque por Argamasilla, sí circulaba el agua, y hasta dos o tres km. más adelante, pero a partir de ahí, el flujo del agua se va haciendo cada vez más débil hasta que termina por desaparecer; es decir, se ha tragado el acuífero el chorro de agua que procedía de la presa de Peñarroya. Ese es el alimentador principal del acuífero.

Recordemos que el agua de Peñarroya es procedente de Las Lagunas de Ruidera, del río Pinilla y de otros varios arroyos que vierten en Las Lagunas y que forman parte del acuífero 24.

En un mes en que se ha extraído poca agua para la agricultura, (aunque sí para los demás servicios: industria, consumo para las poblaciones, alimentación, etc.) y aportándole la masa de agua que hemos mencionado, es normal que haya subido esos 30 cm.

Pero se acaba lo bueno. A fecha de 11 de marzo, y viendo que las aguas del cielo no caen, los agricultores se lanzan a regar cereales, con motores potentes e infinitos aspersores. Se siguen regando cunetas y caminos. Si no lo remedia el cielo, estas gramíneas necesitarán dos riegos más para su recolección, con precios del grano de hace 30 ó 40 años, por lo que no merecerá la pena cosecharlos; eso sí, el agua ya se ha despilfarrado. Además se siguen regando cunetas y caminos (como se muestra en la foto), menos mal que son “habas contadas”.

Pero nos encontramos otra nota negativa: con fecha 12 de marzo se autoriza al Parque Nacional de Las Tablas, a poner en funcionamiento los pozos que tiene para su mantenimiento. Potentes motores eléctricos, con caudal desorbitado, funcionando las 24 horas del día. Se extrae el agua del acuífero, se deposita en la superficie del Parque y por lógica, percola al subsuelo, menos la que se pierde por la evaporación: “Pan para hoy y hambre para mañana”. Único beneficiado: la empresa suministradora de energía eléctrica de los motores. Ya lo hemos comentado infinitas ocasiones.

Menos mal que el día 29 de marzo tenemos una marcha al Parque N. de las Tablas, donde masivamente rogaremos, suplicaremos y mendigaremos que se haga una aportación de unos poquitos Hm3 que verdaderamente, si vienen por las tuberías y conductos que se hicieron para la ocasión, salvaran las Tablas y dejaran el acuífero sin esa merma significativa.  Así es que a ponernos las pilas y a pedir agua de nuestra comarca para la misma: agua para las Tablas. No hay excusa alguna, todos somos beneficiados. En otra ocasión escribiremos de los responsables del descenso de  nivel del acuífero, que no sólo son los agricultores , sino hasta 10 circunstancias que se han dado en los últimos 70 años, como es el afán consuntivo de todos los humanos.

Ah, perdón: todos a pedir agua para las Tablas, si el coronavirus nos lo permite. Salud.
