Nuestro chef particular nos invita en esta ocasión a degustar, tras elaborar su receta, un producto muy popular de la repostería tradicional en la comarca cántabra de los Valles Pasiegos. Su valor energético es alto, pero están tan ricos que, de vez en cuando, tampoco pasa nada permitirnos esta delicia española de la repostería. Desayunos o meriendas con Sobaos de la Vega del Pas, no los dejes para mañana si te los puedes hacer y comer hoy, sobre todo si te sientes vacío…, a lo mejor es que tienes hambre. Acompáñalos con algún oloroso dulce.
Eduardo Lara, nuestro gastrónomo, nos explica de un modo sencillo como preparar este dulce tan peculiar.
Ingredientes: (para 8 ó 10 personas)
250 grs. de harina, 3 huevos, 250 grs. de azúcar, 250 grs. de mantequilla, 1 sobre de levadura, 1 cucharadita de sal, ralladura de limón, ½ copita de ron.
Elaboración:
Dejar que la mantequilla adquiera textura de pomada dejándola a temperatura ambiente. Mezclar con el azúcar en un recipiente. Batir los huevos, agregándolos a la mantequilla con el ron y un poquito de sal.
En otro cuenco, mezclar levadura con harina, añadiendo la mezcla al primer recipiente, batiendo despacio hasta conseguir que la masa sea homogénea y fina.
Verter sobre moldes de papel de cera o sobre fuente previamente untada con mantequilla. Verter sólo hasta la mitad para que el sobao pueda subir bien.
Precalentar el horno 180º y cocer los sobaos durante 15 minutos más o menos. Cuando doren, retirar y dejar enfriar.
A partir de ese momento, disfruten de los sobaos…, en soledad o acompañados. Se recomienda tomar de uno en uno cada ocho horas, ya que el consumo alocado de los sobaos pasiegos crea adicción. Es conveniente mantenerlos fuera de la vista y del alcance de los glotones. Están tan ricos…
