Yo, con el permiso de  Julio César, añadiría y con un público en los tendidos de categoría excepcional, mucho más que de primera, de categoría especial, como los grandes puertos de la Vuelta.
Llevo años, manifestando en los medios que el público que asiste a los toros en Daimiel, es un público entendido y respetuoso, pero lo del 2 de septiembre, merece al menos, este articulo.
Cada plaza de toros, tiene sus singularidades. Por ejemplo, de siempre, la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla se ha caracterizado por  su silencio, aunque últimamente sea menos. Pues Daimiel la ha superado, y con diferencia. El silencio que se pudo escuchar cuando los actuantes se disponían a llevar a cabo la suerte suprema fue antológico, envidiable, loable, un momento maravilloso, o mejor dicho, seis.
La afición de Daimiel, estuvo de dos orejas y rabo, sencillamente así, a la altura de la tarde.

Ya empezó teniendo la sensibilidad para con Juan José Padilla, tributándole una gran ovación. Ovación de despedida, pero también de reconocimiento a ese ejemplo de superación para todos.
Sensibilidad mostró también al entonar los olés toda la tarde. Puedo asegurar que sonaban distintos según el trasteo. Arriba en el Palco lo comentamos, como perfectamente los olés de la faena al segundo de la tarde diferían mucho de los de la faena de Padilla al primero, eran olés más hondos, más largos, más sentidos, más rotundos, acordes con el toreo que estábamos presenciando.
Obligó a saludar a Morenito de Arles después de dos soberbios pares de banderillas jugándosela, en el quinto.
Hasta tuvo la capacidad de no caer en el cebo que alguno quiso poner, para solicitar el indulto del último novillo, que claramente no lo era, como posteriormente manifestó el propio Ganadero en televisión.
Por todo ésto, y mucho más, el público de mi pueblo, se merece mi reconocimiento y el de muchos más.
