La Asociación Cultural Venta de Borondo y Patrimonio Manchego, continúa en su empeño dinamizador en la divulgación y salvaguarda del Patrimonio de nuestra zona; en concreto la Venta de Borondo, una de las ventas más fielmente conservada.
David Cejudo Loro y Julio Orellana López de la Franca, Presidente y Tesorero respectivamente de esta Asociación, alternan su trabajo diario con la dedicación a este objetivo altruista de salvar este histórico Bien de Interés Cultural denominado Venta de Borondo, “el lugar donde Don Quijote pudo ser armado caballero”. Colaboran en este movimiento social sus compañeros de Asociación y muchas otras personas.

– ¿Os consideráis “armados caballeros” en la lucha por la Venta?
Tal vez un poco “locos”, en busca de una justicia histórica. Queremos vencer adversidades y problemas en defensa de un monumento que representa sin duda la tipología cervantina. Sí, estamos embarcados en una aventura quijotesca.
– Ya no está abocada su desaparición…
No, no, ya no. Hemos conseguido detener la corriente negativa que abocaba a su destrucción. Seguimos con graves problemas, pero el apoyo social recibido y la difusión de nuestro objetivo por los medios de comunicación, ha logrado revocar la tendencia pesimista en los inicios de nuestra reivindicación.

–  Dentro del deterioro actual del Monumento, se observa una mejora…
Sí. Se puede apreciar un lavado de cara que hace que la ruina sea más bella, ¡aunque los problemas estructurales siguen estando ahí! Se ha encalado en el 2017 y se realizan limpiezas periódicas de mantenimiento.
– Poco  a poco, por tanto, se logra el objetivo…
Desde luego. Y además poniendo en valor una venta manchega del siglo XVI, que formará parte del Patrimonio local. Todo ello a través de la acción cultural, los consiguientes apoyos y con la difusión permanente.

– Apoyos institucionales, particulares, empresas…?
Visitamos en su momento distintos sectores de la Administración, con propuestas concretas y planes definidos para captar la atención de este gran proyecto. Asimismo, los propietarios siempre fueron prestos con su colaboración. Llegaron subvenciones de Parques Nacionales, fundación Soliss (seguros), empresas de Daimiel que siguen dispuestas a colaborar en el proyecto y los siete propietarios de la Venta, todos de la misma familia que están colaborando desde el primer momento. Y, desde luego, siempre a través de la acción cultural.
 
– ¿Gestiones y movimientos realizados hasta ahora?
A partir del 16 de Octubre de 2016, se funda nuestra Asociación. Se presenta la propuesta de la Venta de Borondo en el Concurso Internacional de Arquitectura Richard H. Driehaus y es aceptada entre otras 50 propuestas más. Participamos en “Semilla Soliss” como proyecto en el que la ciudadanía votaba libremente, siendo elegida nuestra iniciativa entre todas las demás, con una dotación de 6.000 €. En la televisión pública TVE, la última noticia antes del mensaje del Rey en Navidad, se refirió a nuestro proyecto. Se participó en Legatum 2.0, iniciativa del ayuntamiento de Daimiel junto a la Universidad de Castilla La Mancha. Hemos realizado actividades escolares con colectivos daimieleños…, nos han puesto como ejemplo de valentía desde la Comunidad Científica de Arquitectos y Arqueólogos de Castilla La Mancha y otras Comunidades de España…

Para favorecer la participación y el interés de los colaboradores, instando a la implicación de ellos mismos a través de su arte y su fantasía.
– El entorno goza de una riqueza natural…
Valor paisajístico sobre todo, en una llanura con cruces de caminos históricos importantes. A través del puente de los dos ojos, se accede a olivos tan antiguos como el de la Plaza de España de nuestra ciudad. En la fantasía de D. Miguel de Cervantes, allí fue armado caballero Don Quijote de La Mancha…
– El lugar fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural…
Sí, hacer diez años así lo hizo la Junta de Comunidades de Castilla La Mancha. Nuestra Asociación continúa peleando para que las máximas autoridades ayuden cuanto sea posible.

– La novela de José Aranda…?
Este señor, de Bolaños, escribió con bastante anterioridad a nuestras inquietudes y movimientos un libro novelado precursor de lo que en nuestros días está aconteciendo en torno a la defensa de nuestro patrimonio. Ya fallecido, los ingresos por la venta de su novela “La venta de Borondo”, se aplican para los objetivos de la Asociación. El señor Aranda fue un enamorado del Patrimonio de nuestra comarca, el Campo de Calatrava.
– En vuestros movimientos se adivina un espíritu daimieleño…
No cabe duda. Nuestro amor por el Patrimonio local queda manifiesto, sin olvidar la clara actitud del Ayuntamiento de Daimiel que colabora en lo posible. El desbroce del lugar, así como el vallado perimetral de zonas peligrosas se realizó a través de un plan de empleo, lográndose objetivos sociales por partida doble. La Concejalía de Turismo organizó hace poco una ruta de senderismo desde Daimiel a la Motilla, con beneficios económicos a favor de la Venta de Borondo… con todo ello, sin duda,, hemos puesto en el mapa, entre todos, un lugar de la Mancha, con regusto histórico, la Venta de Borondo.
