La corrida de Daimiel 2016, destacada en prensa nacional

Se abrió el portón de cuadrillas, se abrió el portón de los sustos, se abrió la temporada oficial en España como es tradicional en los cosos de Ajalvir y Valdemorillo –Comunidad de Madrid-, en enero y febrero respectivamente. Y detrás vendrán las grandes ferias de Marzo –Olivenza, Castellón, Valencia-, a la espera del plato fuerte de Sevilla, ya en Abril. Los aficionados ya estamos expectantes, pero con la sensación de no saber cuántos somos. Las corrientes contrarias a nuestra afición volverán a ponernos en entredicho con sus repetidos argumentos pro-animalistas, como si nosotros los taurinos estuviéramos en contra del mundo animal…
Toreros y taurinos profesamos una religión llamada tauromaquia, sin buscarle muchas explicaciones; la tauromaquia gusta o no gusta, pero no le des muchas vueltas ni indagues razones más allá de la fe en el arte de Cúchares. Fernando Sánchez Dragó comenta en EL MUNDO: «Cada aficionado ve en el ruedo lo que quiere ver: arte, espectáculo, pan y circo, deporte, alarde, ritual, entretenimiento, danza de la muerte… Yo veo religión, un sacramento».

Miguel Bosé, hace años se refería a este asunto manifestándose en términos parecidos: «Los toros es como la religión, o crees o no crees, pero no lo pienses mucho». O sea, cada aficionado interpreta, según su criterio y sensibilidad, el llamado arte de la tauromaquia, con más o menos fe.
Pues aquí en Daimiel, iniciamos la temporada con fe y con la mención destacada que recibe la corrida de la pasada feria –ganadería Valdefresno- en la revista –libro «Tierras Taurinas», de ámbito nacional e internacional. El ganadero del citado hierro se refería a los toros lidiados en nuestra plaza: «En Daimiel lidiamos un corridón de toros enorme… Salieron tres toros muy buenos, bravos, enrazados, con motor y embistiendo por abajo. Y todos ellos, impresionantes de presencia». No está mal vernos destacados en el planeta taurino por estos motivos. Es buena manera para ir mentalizándonos desde ya con vistas a la feria de Septiembre, que no hagamos tarde y cojamos al toro por los cuernos, en corto y por derecho y sin entrar al trapo de provocaciones adversas antitaurinas, para de esta forma rematar la faena sin necesidad de que nos den algún aviso. Amén.
