La crisis que ha sufrido este pais y que afectó de una manera brutal la venta de viviendas, entre otros sectores, parece que no hizo mella en la venta de sepulturas en el cementerio municipal de Daimiel. Desde el 2011 y desde que esta concejalía está bajo las ordenes de Rafael Marcelino Palomares, se han construido 104 sepulturas, en diferentes años. Todas ellas se han vendido, excepto 7 de las últimas 24 construidas en 2016 y con la connotación de que en algún año ha habido más demanda que oferta y el Ayuntamiento tuvo que realizar la venta por sorteo previa inscripción. Suena raro que la crisis no haya afectado a este peculiar sector, seguramente por que la crisis no entiende de salud. Aunque desde el sector funerario se nos comunica que la incineración es una decisión que en grandes ciudades se va imponiendo al enterramiento, en Daimiel aunque va en aumento, todavía no conoce los niveles de las grandes capitales.El enterramiento aún está muy arraigado en nuestras tradiciones y cuesta suprimirlos y,por tanto, se necesitan sepulturas.Buenos previsores somos los daimieleños con este tema, que nos gusta, una vez comprada la sepultura, acondicionarla y embellecerla y pocos son los que tienen claro que les gustaría ser enterrados y no disponen de ella.
Al parecer tambien hay predilección por la situación de las sepulturas, no tienen la misma demanda las construidas al principio y al borde de calles que al final, aunque personalmente el que descanse en ellas no creo que tenga esa predilección.
