Compromiso de verdad el acordado por este deportista daimieleño vinculado desde siempre a las estructuras futbolísticas de Daimiel. Ha pasado por todas las categorías del equipo blanco , defendiendo la portería en distintas divisiones, habiendo sido también portero de varios equipos de la provincia. Retirado del fútbol como jugador, se tituló como entrenador para poder ejercer hasta un determinado nivel, que incluye por supuesto la Primera Autonómica Preferente en la que milita nuestro Daimiel RCF. Desde la dirección técnica del juvenil local, pasó a ocupar el banquillo del primer equipo tras la marcha del anterior entrenador, muy avanzada ya la pasada temporada y con una mala clasificación de los de El Carmen, colistas con escasas posibilidades de salvar la situación. Pocos partidos por delante y calendario muy complicado para intentar la machada de la salvación.

No le tembló el pulso a “Rober”, implicándose a muerte desde el minuto uno tras aceptar el duro y difícil reto, a sabiendas de que su llegada se producía forzada por las circunstancias. Difícil papeleta para Roberto Velázquez Jareño, “Rober”, que no se achantó. Lejos de intimidarse, puso en práctica su laboratorio particular, reanimando y envalentonando a una plantilla abrumada por los malos resultados, que no por el mal juego.

El trabajo psicológico aplicado al grupo, fue factor determinante para lograr dar la vuelta al calcetín, con juego y resultados que hicieron concebir esperanzas a directivos, equipo y afición. La grada volvió a responder, con asistencia y ánimos para un Daimiel RCF que a pesar de la clasificación y el oscuro panorama atraía de nuevo a sus seguidores. El regular juego del equipo comenzó a dar frutos, con victorias relevantes que levantaron el ánimo, mientras sobre el verde se apreciaba un bloque reconocible, cada vez más firme y con más puntos en el casillero. El trabajo técnico desde el banquillo calaba en jugadores y afición , que ya tiraban de calculadora soñando con un sueño imposible.

Roberto Velázquez transmite seguridad desde su conocimiento. Su mensaje llega, sabiéndolo hacer llegar desde la psicología natural que su personalidad emana. El Daimiel RCF ha hecho público la renovación de “Rober” como técnico del primer equipo ,ahora sí, con absoluta confianza en su gestión desde el inicio. El tiempo juega a favor tras darse por concluida la temporada anterior por la desgraciada pandemia. Tiempo para analizar, fichar y planificar con vistas a la dura temporada que espera a todos los equipos de la categoría, cuyos ingresos dependen en importante medida del apoyo de las empresas, muy castigadas por la crisis del bicho.

Pero a estas alturas, con el verano por delante, es bueno contar con entrenador daimieleño que trabaja con ideas claras, conoce el ambiente del fútbol, joven pero suficientemente experimentado, analítico y capacitado.
