El ceramófilo daimieleño, Vicente Carranza, falleció anoche en Madrid a los 90 años. Hijo predilecto y Medalla de Honor Ciudad de Daimiel, reunió una de las colecciones privadas de cerámica más completa de España. El Ayuntamiento de Daimiel ha decretado dos días de luto oficial.    

Daimiel Noticias.-  El ceramófilo daimieleño, Vicente Carranza, falleció anoche en Madrid a los 90 años. Hijo predilecto y Medalla de Honor Ciudad de Daimiel, Carranza reunió durante su vida una de las colecciones privadas de cerámica más completa de España y de Europa por su calidad y cantidad.

El Museo de Santa Cruz de Toledo, los Reales Alcázares y el Centro de la Cerámica de Triana, ambos en Sevilla y el Museo Comarcal de Daimiel albergan el legado de Carranza. Además, en el museo daimieleño también hay una recreación de su despacho en el ‘Gabinete del coleccionista’.

Este jueves al mediodía, el Ayuntamiento de Daimiel ha decretado dos días de luto oficial donde las banderas del balcón consistorial ondearán a media asta y lucirán un crespón negro. Un acuerdo alcanzado por unanimidad en un pleno extraordinario donde el alcalde, Leopoldo Sierra, ha comentado que había trasmitido el pésame a su familia “en nombre de todos los daimieleños”.

En esa declaración institucional leída por Sierra, se ha reseñado que Carranza era “uno de los mejores ceramófilos de toda España”, y que gracias a su mecenazgo se puede disfrutar de exposiciones permanentes de su colección en cuatro museos.

“Daimiel pierde uno de sus referentes culturales”, pero gracias “a la enorme generosidad” de Vicente Carranza se podrá disfrutar de “su obra y mantener vivo su recuerdo gracias a la donación realizada a su pueblo” en el Museo Comarcal, concluía la declaración.

Al finalizar el pleno, Sierra confirmaba que además de este pésame institucional, mañana viernes se desplazará al tanatorio de la M-30 para trasmitir estas condolencias de manera personal a sus familiares y amigos.

El último acto público de Vicente Carranza en Daimiel fue en junio de 2016 en la inauguración del retablo cerámico ‘In memoriam’, diseñado por él y situado a la entrada del Cementerio Municipal.

Un año después, en el verano de 2017, Vicente Carranza recibió la Medalla a la Excelencia Cultural de Castilla-La Mancha por su importante labor de mecenazgo y allí reconoció que su mayor sueño había sido siempre atesorar cultura “para devolvérsela al mundo mismo, para mostrársela a la sociedad”.

Una medalla que le entregó el presidente regional, Emiliano García-Page, que también trasladado hoy su pésame a la familia de Vicente Carranza, a quien el jefe del Ejecutivo autonómico le ha reconocido su labor como impulsor de una cultura “incluyente y con mayúsculas”.
