  El pasado sábado 4 de mayo se celebró en la Piscina Juan de Toledo de Albacete la Copa Regional de Clubes de Natación Benjamín y Alevín con dos jornadas de competición (mañana y tarde) contando con la participación de ocho clubes y ciento sesenta y siete nadadores. Recordamos que los clubes participantes eran los primeros ocho clubes clasificados, tomando como referencia la suma de los puntos obtenidos en los Campeonatos Regionales Benjamín y Alevín de Invierno de la presente temporada (puntos en la categoría Benjamín + puntos en la categoría Alevín).

            A pesar de que el C.N. Ciudad Real era el club con menos participantes (seis chicos y nueve chicas), la suma de puntos de las pruebas individuales mas los relevos le proclamaban como campeón de la Copa Benjamín y Alevín con 437 puntos. Le acompañaron en el podio como segundo clasificado el C.N. Sonseca con 402 puntos y tercero el C.N. Alarcos tan solo tres puntos por detrás, 399 puntos.Finalmente El CN. Daimiel, con bajas importantes, quedó en sexta posición.

            La gran noticia venía de la mano de José María Ruiz de la Hermosa que después de varios años trabajando, con gran sacrificio y entrenamientos duros; conseguía su primera mínima nacional en 200 mariposa con un tiempo de 2:22.35. “Arropado” y animado por todo el equipo, familiares y amigos en las gradas, la anécdota llegó con el apagón del marcador electrónico que tuvo al público y técnicos en tensión hasta que finalmente apareció tiempo. Desde el CN. Daimiel se quiere dar la enhorabuena al deportista y familia no solo por la mínima sino por la excelente persona y calidad humana que ha demostrado Jose María. Un ejemplo tanto fuera como dentro de la piscina.
