AFADAL promoverá un taller de memoria para frenar el avance de los primeros síntomas del Alzheimer

AFADAL ha vuelto a salir a la calle con motivo del Día del Alzheimer. Aunque la efeméride se celebra cada 21 de septiembre, desde esta asociación han aprovechado el mayor trasiego de vecinos que se registra los martes para informar al respecto de esta patología e instalar una mesa petitoria cuyos fondos se destinarán a financiar algunos de sus talleres terapéuticos. En octubre se pondrá en marcha una acción dirigida a aquellas personas que presentan “los primeros despistes”, como ha subrayado la presidenta de esta asociación con enfermos seniles en sus familias, Pilar Estudillo.
Daimiel Noticias. – Con motivo de la celebración del Día Mundial del Alzheimer AFADAL ha vuelto a salir a la calle para recaudar fondos para su asociación. Aunque la efeméride se celebra este viernes, 21 de septiembre, la Asociación de Familias y Enfermos de Alzheimer ha llamado a la solidaridad de sus vecinos unos días antes aprovechando el mayor trasiego de los martes.
 

Fiel a la tradición desde que iniciara su andadura hace ya 15 años, AFADAL ha estado presente en el mercadillo del Ferial y en la Plaza de España. Pilar Estudillo, presidenta de AFADAL, explicaba que los fondos servirán para financiar las actividades con las que ayudan a los enfermos de Alzheimer y sus familias. En ese paquete se ha incorporado un nuevo taller de memoria que han probado “con éxito” los meses anteriores y que se dirige a las personas “con los primeros despistes”. Este taller se retomará el 5 de octubre y se celebrará cada tarde del viernes en el Centro de Alzheimer de la localidad.
 
Pero AFADAL también estará presente muy pronto en las fiestas de la Vendimia, en la que instalarán un puesto de dulces con el objetivo de seguir recaudando fondos necesarios para desarrollar su labor de sensibilización y ayuda.
 
Desde el Ayuntamiento de Daimiel, la concejala de Servicios Sociales, Alicia Loro, ha valorado la dedicación de esta asociación y ha recordado el apoyo que se da desde la administración local con citas solidarias como la carrera por la igualdad, o más recientemente, en el concierto solidario de Feria.
 
Aprovechando la conmemoración del día del Alzheimer, Pilar Estudillo ha animado a todos aquellos que estén interesados en conocer más sobre esta enfermedad a que se pasen por la sede de la asociación situada en la calle Fontecha, en el edificio del ‘Círculo’. Asimismo, la presidenta hacía un “balance muy positivo” de la andadura de esta asociación que cuenta con alrededor de 180 miembros.
