Con una derrota (2-3) inició el Daimiel RCF la temporada ante el Manzanares, club de superiores aspiraciones en este grupo y de importante nivel deportivo, que reflejaron en el campo de El Carmen. Ante este rival, el equipo blanco dio la talla, dejando buenas sensaciones y tratando de tú a tú al equipo azul. Dejó buen sabor de boca a los aficionados, que a pesar de la derrota salían comentando con optimismo lo acontecido en el verde, con la esperanza de ver ganar al equipo local en posteriores partidos, cuando el equipo a base de entrenamientos y trabajo logre cuajar.
