Las previstas elecciones en la Cofradía del Cristo de la Expiración y Ntra. Sra. de los Dolores, experimentan un cambio en el anunciado proceso electoral, ya que el candidato Antonio de la Galana García-Consuegra RENUNCIA formalmente a su candidatura para la Presidencia de la Hermandad. Al no existir más candidaturas que la del hermano Roberto Caraballo Lozano, éste queda proclamado como único CANDIDATO ELECTO, “por lo que quedan interrumpidas las elecciones, procediéndose a proclamar a dicho hermano como PRESIDENTE”, de acuerdo con los Estatutos actuales.
    A petición del Sr Caraballo, la Junta Electoral decide aceptar la Moción de Confianza solicitada, habilitándose para ello una urna el día 24 de marzo de 2018 en la Casa de  Hermandad entre las 16 y las 19 horas. De modo presencial, se desarrollará con votación en sobre cerrado, la aceptación con el nombre del único candidato electo, en caso de ser aceptado, o con papeleta con un NO en caso de no aceptación. El voto por correo se efectuará de modo similar al anteriormente establecido. Tanto papeletas como sobres, serán facilitadas por la propia Hermandad.

Vicente Moreno Córdoba, tras 2 mandatos de 4 años, da paso a personas jóvenes y con nuevas ideas. Desde la devoción, ilusión y dedicación, la junta presidida por el Sr. Moreno ha evolucionado, como era de esperar, en busca de lo mejor para la Cofradía, dando a su vez lo mejor de todos y cada uno de los componentes de esta directiva durante los últimos ocho años. Los objetivos de solidaridad, formación y patrimonio, han sido en gran medida logrados, utilizando para ello los modernos medios de comunicación social que han permitido tener a los hermanos interconectados, boletines informativos como “La Pica” o editando el libro “Expiración”, aglutinador de nuestra historia. Todo ello además de charlas formativas, exposiciones o viajes culturales, dando oportunidad a los hermanos para su mejor formación e indudable protagonismo.
    El compromiso, en aumento, de los cofrades “blancos”, ha justificado con creces la ilusión y el trabajo realizado en estos ocho años. El protagonismo de niños y mayores, la actitud solidaria   -donando importes económicos de ornamentaciones en pasos hacia los más desfavorecidos en años de crisis-, la organización de torneos deportivos para conseguir alimentos, todo ello canalizado a través de Cáritas, o el apoyo en formación académica apadrinando niños, han colmado el espíritu de dar lo m mejor a los demás, que todos llevamos dentro. La solemnidad del Cristo de la Expiración en su nuevo trono reformado y la adquisición y conservación del Patrimonio de ·”Los Blancos”, destacan entre otras muchas acciones, habiendo logrado en esta etapa el importante proyecto que más esfuerzos ha necesitado: La Casa de Hermandad.
    Vicente Moreno Córdoba, agradece efusívamente “a todos los hermanos y hermanas que me han acompañado en esta difícil pero gratificante tarea, trabajando todos juntos por nuestra querida Hermandad”.
