“Club Deportivo Natación Daimiel”, deporte y formación

Nace este Club en el verano de 2012 como Club Elemental, para en el otoño de ese mismo año pasar a ser Club Básico; definitivamente y acorde con la Ley del Deporte de Castilla La Mancha, pasa a denominarse “Club Deportivo Natación Daimiel”, en julio de 2015.
Las modernas y magníficas instalaciones del Complejo Deportivo de la Piscina Climatizada de Daimiel, acoge como sede y centro neurálgico a este Club, que en tan sólo cuatro años ha conseguido resultados sobresalientes, a niveles deportivos y de formación.
La organización del Club está marcada por el tipo de gestión del Complejo Deportivo de la Piscina Climatizada, que realiza el Ayto. de Daimiel y la empresa Alvac, S.A., concesionaria del Centro y gestora de las instalaciones: spa, dos piscinas y Sala Fitness.
La dirección de la instalación, la coordinación técnica de la Escuela de Natación allí existente y del propio Club, es la misma, siendo su director el daimieleño Raúl Utrilla Lozano. El ideario del Club es que los niños no sólo tengan un lugar donde entrenar y competir, sino disponer del ambiente adecuado para percibir el espíritu de equipo y poder compartir con compañeros los valores y experiencias que aporta el deporte de la natación.
La edad media de incorporación al Club, es a partir de los ocho o nueve años, contando en la actualidad con setenta y cinco nadadores federados en distintas categorías, que participan en diversas competiciones.
Los principales resultados se han conseguido en categorías Benjamín y Alevín, destacando varios segundos y terceros puestos en clasificaciones generales en los campeonatos regionales de verano e invierno. En esta temporada el Club compite en la 2ª división de la Liga Territorial de Castilla La Mancha, con el objetivo de mantener la categoría. De forma individual, se han obtenido varios campeonatos de C.L.M. batiendo más de 18 records. Varios de los nadadores del Club se encuentran entre los 10 mejores del ranking nacional de la Real Federación  Española de Natación, destacando Jhonatan de la Morena (bronce en el Campeonato de España Alevín 100 mariposa, celebrado en la piscina M86 en 2016) Valeria Moya (bronce en el Campeonato de España Alevín celebrado en La Coruña en 2015 en 200 braza), Marta Cabanes, Laura Calahorra y Laura Cabanes, esta última, primera en varias pruebas a nivel nacional.
