Estampas de siempre, con niños, padres y abuelos, se retrataban en la Plaza de la Paz, en torno a la Hoguera que cada año se prende en honor a la patrona de los comerciantes, Nuestra Señora de la Paz. La Santa continúa aglutinando personal daimieleño de todas las edades y colores, que enfilan la calle Jesús subiendo el empinado recorrido hasta tropezar con chuscas, destellos y fuego.

Por el camino, colación. Tallos, martillos de caramelo, almendras garrapiñadas elaboradas a la vista, turrones variados con la prioridad del de Castuera, peladillas… y limoná fresca y dulcecica servida en botijo por los organizadores del evento, Presidenta al frente junto al Sr. Alcalde, Concejales y Hermano Mayor que respaldaban corrillos de amigos, familiares o conocidos, buen ambiente social, por todo lo alto, -nunca mejor dicho-, alrededor del calor de los sarmientos y la limoná en botijo.

La imagen de la Virgen, presidiendo desde el pretil los festejos en su honor, arropada por el gentío que acude a la llamada de la Paz, bonita palabra, en boca y deseos del respetable que presencia y escucha el concierto improvisado por la Banda Municipal, con pasodobles populares e himno de la Virgen que habita en la ermita de su nombre.

Las llamas de esta celebración se reavivan cada año desde la iniciativa de directivos y simpatizantes, personas de Daimiel, jóvenes y veteranos, que mantienen desde su trabajo anónimo esta tradición popular daimieleña. La procesión del sábado a media tarde por las calles céntricas de la población, acompañada la Santa por buen número de daimieleños y el buen sonido de la Banda de Música, cierra con broche de oro la solemne conmemoración.

Una llamarada de aplausos para la Organización y un brindis de limoná en botijo en su honor. Concordia, Paz, colación y limoná. En botijo.
