El Guadiana alimenta a las Tablas de Daimiel

A finales del 2009 Europa amenazaba con quitarle a las Tablas de Daimiel su catalogación de reserva de la Biosfera dada su maltrecha situación, derivada de la escasez de agua que sufría el parque.En enero del 2010 la climatología cambió,propiciando dos años hídricos con abundantes lluvias que ayudaron a que la situación del Parque pasara de ser agónica  a estar completamente inundado. Además de salvar la situación del Parque,el acuífero se recuperó de tal manera que el Guadiana empezó a manar por sus ojos desde el paraje de Griñón, el Nuevo y Zuacorta. Este hecho no sucedía desde que a finales de los años 70 el río dejara de manar. Desde el 2011 el Guadiana alimenta con sus aguas a las Tablas de Daimiel y a pesar de los últimos años de aunténtica sequía,el río no ha dejado de aportar agua al Parque,excepto en meses de verano como en 2017.
Esta situación ha reportado a Las Tablas en los últimos años una regularidad hídrica que hacía mucho tiempo que no tenía y aunque en estos dos últimos años de sequía nos hacía augurar malos tiempos, las últimas lluvias nos hacen no perder la esperanza de seguir viendo el paraje en todo su esplendor.
Hoy hemos sido testigos del caudal que aporta el Guadiana a las Tablas y cómo el caudal aumenta desde el paraje del Nuevo pasando por Griñón hasta que llega a Molemocho.

El agua que inunda las Tablas llega hasta la presa de Puente Navarro donde también presenta un buen nivel. Lástima que este nivel de inundaciones no haya propiciado una recuperación de la cantidad de avifauna que se daba en décadas pasadas.
